Myalgia (head and/or face)

Myalgia means pain in muscle tissue, and it is modified by movement during normal function – such as chewing or talking; or during harmful habits – such as clenching or grinding your teeth. This pain may be felt in the jaw, the temple, the ear or the area in front of it and it is accentuated with movements in the joint. This pain may irradiate to adjacent muscles or even to distant locations (referred pain).
If you have any of these symptoms and suspect you may suffer from myalgia (head or face area), schedule an appointment with one of our Occlusion specialized dentists or contact us.
